Whenever a friend would ask me, "what are you good at?" - I would reply, "I'm really good at putting myself in someone else's shoes". According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, that is not a real job. However, UX is as close to that as I can get. User experience design allows me to express myself creatively, and exhibit compassion and empathy.
I graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Design and Merchandising. I worked in education and outreach for the Smithsonian Institution, and now work as an independent consultant. I am a user experience designer that brings a unique mix of design training, project development experience and creativity to projects. Working in the museum field has provided me with invaluable experience in working with the public including visitors of all educational and age ranges to persons with disabilities and special needs.
