The Scenic Route

Like many user experience professionals, I found my way to UX through happenstance. It was during an informational interview that someone proposed the idea to me. After lots of research, I dove in headfirst. I regularly attend UXPA workshops, network, read, wireframe, complete tutorials, daydream and try to get my hands on anything that makes me a better UX designer.

DIY

All Beck needed was two turntables and a microphone. I decided to use lots of wireframe templates and Adobe Creative Suite. I completed all research, user testing, UX and visual design on a shoestring budget. Instead of DIY, I'll use the term DIAM (Did It All Myself). To view the entire project, head to the "UX Work" tab at the top of the page.

I'm an Octopus!

I've had my tentacles every where: museums, user experience design and now property management. Upon first glance, my experiences may look disparate. However, all three industries taught me how to work with diverse clients, prioritize competing tasks, remain calm under intense pressure and exhibit excellent problem solving skills.
